Goodyear’s San Angelo Proving Grounds

Spread out across 7,250 acres or 11.25 square miles of West Texas, the San Angelo Proving Grounds (SAPG) is the largest of six global facilities Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. puts to work testing its tires. Founded in 1944, SAPG tests about 23,000 tires a year over its 58 miles of roads using a fleet of 300-plus vehicles.
