Squared-off trucks in south Ohio

With all the push in recent years toward higher truck fuel efficiency and better aerodynamics, the irony is many people — including truckers — will readily tell you they prefer the look of more squared-off, classic big rigs.

You still see that commonly in heavy trucks used primarily off-highway, but a trip last week brought us to southern Ohio, where a number of trucks out the highways were a testament to the iconic, more right-angled truck.

Here's a sampling of what we saw, which was mainly Peterbilts but with showings by International, Kenworth, Western Star and Freightliner as well, and hauling a variety of loads (or headed to their next).
