ldquoWhat started out as a small customer appreciation weekend has evolved into a 500truck customer appreciation party for about 8000 of our closest friendsquot says 4 State Truck owner Bryan Martin touting the annual Guilty By Association Truck Show GBATS

“What started out as a small customer appreciation weekend has evolved into a 500-truck customer appreciation party for about 8,000 of our closest friends," says 4 State Truck owner Bryan Martin, touting the annual Guilty By Association Truck Show (GBATS).

Time for the 'Guilty' to get going

Guilty By Association Truck Show set for Sept. 23-24 in Joplin, MO

4 State Trucks, home of the Chrome Shop Mafia, will be hosting their 8th annual Guilty By Association Truck Show (GBATS) and customer expo September 23-24. Organizers expect the two-day, family-friendly event to attract in excess of 8,000 attendees and feature nearly 500 working show trucks.

Along with the rigs, the event will include concerts by South of Vertical and Tony Justice, a kid’s zone, food vendors, contests, a world-class truck and tractor pull, fireworks, Globe of Death motorcycle stunt show, big rig burnouts, as well as discounted sale pricing on parts and merchandise.

This year is the first ever GBATS Swap Meet both Friday and Saturday at noon, so make plans to bring any old big rigs parts that are just laying around to buy, swap & trade.

The show culminates with the world’s largest truck convoy making its way to downtown Joplin on Saturday evening at 6 pm for a massive street party and celebration.  Last year’s event set the record for number of trucks in a Special Olympics convoy and raised over $125,000 for Special Olympics of Missouri.  The goal in 2016 is to increase the number of trucks in the convoy while also establishing a new record for funds raised.

“The growth and interest in our event has been so great in just seven short years! The magnitude of truckers that come out to enjoy the weekend and participate in the convoy for such a great cause as Special Olympics is really is an indication of how ‘kind-hearted’ these drivers and truck owners are,” says Bryan Martin, owner of 4 State Trucks. “Fun is had by all— the participants, the exhibitors, the local crowd and especially by our staff as they ‘mix it up’ all weekend with attendees.

“Joplin Missouri is definitely a Truck Friendly town with a long running history of being Pro-Trucking, and the support and excitement we see from local folks is heart warming,” adds Martin.  “What started out as a small customer appreciation weekend has evolved into a 500-truck customer appreciation party for about 8,000 of our closest friends.  It’s so cool, and I wouldn’t change a thing.”

GBATS 2016 will be held at 4 State Trucks’ corporate headquarters, just off I-44, exit 4 in Joplin, MO.
