Idaho trucker, Kenworth deliver Capitol Christmas Tree

After a nearly 4,000-mile, three-week journey from the Payette National Forest in Idaho, the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree arrived and was unloaded in Washington this week.

Driver Gary Amoth, owner of Gary Amoth Trucking in Twin Falls, Idaho, “successfully, professionally and safely” transported the 80-foot Englemann spruce in his specially-decaled Kenworth T680 from Idaho to its final destination, Kenworth reports.

Amoth’s T680 features a comfortable 76-inch sleeper, fuel-efficient 485-hp PACCAR MX-13 engine, Eaton Fuller Advantage10-speed automated transmission, and the new PACCAR Axle, the industry’s most efficient and lightest weight tandem drive axle. The truck utilizes Kenworth’s T680 Advantage configuration.
